Cloud Solutions for Law Firms

 State Courts Luncheon
25th November 2016
organised by
The Law Society of Singapore

There was full attendance at the State Courts Bar Room at the final series in 2016 of luncheon + seminar organised by the Law Society.

Mr Paul Wyatt, APAC Director of NetDocuments, spoke about the impact of cloud based document management solutions in Australia and the rest of Asia and emphasised on the high level of security that solutions such as NetDocuments now bring to the market. Mr Wyatt demonstrated the ease of use of document and email management features and gave humorous anecdotes of small firms punching above their weight in adopting enterprise solutions based on the cloud platform of Software as a Service. These solutions would otherwise be unattainable by the smaller firms due to the high capital investment on servers and ongoing maintenance for onsite systems.

Daniel Chan spoke about CoreMatter Practice Management and gave a preview of the newest addition to the solution – the addition of AML-CFT component in CoreMatter.

Mr Moncy Mathew of Mathew, Chew and Chelliah gave an insightful view of how he and his colleagues have adopted CoreMatter and their positive experience. CoreMatter has allowed the firm to organize and search for their matter files and client accounts better.

Mr Gerald Fok, (Manager, Professional Services of SPRING Singapore), gave a useful view of the assistance programs available by SPRING to assist firms to help implement productivity solutions for the Legal sector.

The Law Society of Singapore has a program for the first half of 2017 to assist member firms to implement productivity solutions and help to offset this investment with available grants from SPRING.
